暑いですね～
It's very hot, isn't it?

近所のフレンドリークロネコちゃんも暑さにぐったり。
My negighbor's black kitty is also tired of the hot weather.

５代目の命日 the anniversary of my 5th cat's death

今日は５代目にゃんこの命日でした。
It was the anniversary of my 5th cat's death.

天国に行って４年の月日が流れました。
It passed 4 years since she went to heaven.


今でも鮮明ににゃんこのことを思い出します。
I still remember her clearly.

生まれたころから持病があり、何度もお医者さん通いしました。
I took her to the vet many times b/c she had an illness since she was born.


車がなかったので、バスに乗って獣医さんへ通った日々。
I did not have a car. So, I took her to the vet by bus.


そのおかげで、にゃんこは乗りものが大好きになりました。
Thanks to that, my cat liked vehicles very much.


優しくてフレンドリーで、新しい猫（６代目）を迎えいれたときもすぐに仲良くなりました。
She was so gentle and friendly. She was nice to my new cat( the 6th cat) quickly.


大好きで大好きで、天国へ行ったあとはしばらく何も考えることが出来ませんでした。
I just loved her so much. When she went to heaven, I could not think anything for a while.



今はようやく、悲しみを乗り越え、ニャンコと暮らすことができた日々を感謝しています。
I finally overcame the saddness now. And, I appreciate the days when I lived with her everyday.



お花とフードを持って、お参りに行ってきました。
I visited to a pet mortician with flowers and cat foods.


[また会いに行くね」
"I will visit you again."

クロニャンコ the black cat

近所のフレンドリーなクロニャンコ。
This is my neighbor's cat which is frinedly.



最近、よく会います。
Recently, I often see her.

飼主さんによると、以前はノラ猫だったそうです。
According to her owner, she was a stray cat.

とても人懐こいので、最初は近所の人達と地域猫として飼おうとしたとのこと。
She was so friendly that neighbors tried to keep her as the local cat.



地域猫にするため、愛護団体に避妊手術をしてもらったそうです。
にゃんこの片耳には桜マーク（？）のような跡がありました。
The cat had a spay by the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals to keep her as the local cat.
And, she had a mark shaped like cherry blossoms(?) on her ear as the evidence of the spay.

でも、いつのまにか現在の飼主さんの飼猫になり、今ではお布団の中で一緒に寝る仲とか
But, she became the present owner's cat naturally. She comes to the owner's bed in order to sleep.



クロニャンコちゃん、良い飼主さんに拾われて幸せだね
The black kitty is happy to have her owner, isn't she?

ねこ展 The cat exhibition

ねこ好きの皆様へ耳よりの情報です
I have a good news for cat lovers.

東京のプランタン銀座で『ねこ展』が開催されますよ。
５月２２日（水）から５月２８日（火）まで５階で開催されます。
The cat exhibition is going to be held on the ５th floor at the Printemps Ginza in Tokyo from May 22(Wed) to May 28(Tue).

こちらがそのハガキです。
This is the postcard which says about the exhibition.



去年の１１月に東京へ旅行したとき、たまたま猫展に訪れ、お店の方がハガキを送ってくださいました。
I traveld to Tokyo last November. By coincidence, I visited the cat exhibition.
I got this postcard from a person who sold cat goods at the cat exhibition.

かわいい猫グッズがたくさん販売されていますよ。
You can buy lots of cute cat goods there.

今回、行けないのでとっても残念です。
I am sad that I can not visit the exhibition this time.

モデル猫 a model cat

こちらは、ただいま羊毛フェルトの依頼を受けているモデル猫ちゃん
This is a model cat for the next order of my felting animals.

先日、一枚だけお写真を紹介しました。
I showed only one photo of this cat on the other day.


でも、この猫ちゃんはとてもユニークなのでもう少し紹介します。
But, I would like to introduce him more b/c this cat is very unique.



写真からは人懐こそうに見える猫ちゃん。
実は、とても人見知りが激しく、飼主の前以外、姿を見せません。
According to the photos, the cat looks friendly.
Acutually, he is very shy in front of strangers and do not show himself except his owners.


私も何度か飼主の方の家に訪れたことがありますが一度もこの猫の姿をみたことがありません。
I visited at his owner's house but I have never seen this cat.


飼主様もお客が来ているときに、確かに猫ちゃんは家の中にいるのにどこかに隠れて見つからないと
話していました。でも、お客が帰るととたんにどこからか現れるそうです。
The cat's owners told me that they could not find the cat even if he was somewhere in the house when they had a guest. But, the cat shows up as soon as a gues left from their house.

このようなお話はフェルト動物を作るときにとても役立ちます。
Their story about the cat is very useful to make the felting animals.

外見だけでなく内面も考えながら作れるのでより良いものに仕上げれるよう頑張ります。
I try to do my best in order to make it better b/c I can imagine not only the cat's appearance but also his inside.

５代目ニャンコ② My 5th cat②

最近、フェルトアート作りと本業で忙しく、ブログをさぼり気味の私。
Recently, I have been busy to work on both felting arts and my main occupation.
So, I tend to update my blog slowly.

今日は５代目ニャンコのお話。
I talk about my 5th cat today.

前回、５代目は子猫の頃から持病を持ち、目の手術をしたことを話しました。
Previously, I talked about the cat which had had an illness and got an eye surgery when she was a kitten.

私の猫はアレルギーも持っており、よく目を引っかいたため、エリザベスカラーが必要不可欠でした。
My cat also had an allergy and often scratched her eyes.
So, she often needed to put on the Elizabeth color around her neck.



頭の良い５代目は何度もカラーを壊したり、はずしたりしました。
My cat was so clever that she could break the color or take it off many times.



獣医さんと試行錯誤しながら、なんとか目を引っかかせないよういろいろ苦労しました。
I consulted with her veterinarian and try not to let her scratch her eyes.



この愛らしい寝顔の裏には絶え間ない私の苦労があったことは、知るよしもないニャンコでした。
Of course, she never cared how much I made an effort to protect her eyes behind her lovely sleeping face.

４代目猫の背中 My fourth cat's back

ニャンコの後ろ姿ってとってもかわいいですよね。
The cat's back is so cute, isn't it?

今までに飼った猫達の中で、何故か４代目猫君の後ろ姿の写真が多いのでお見せします。
I do not know why but there are lots of photos of my fourth cat's back among my companion cats.
So, I would like to share them with you.

まずは、こちら
First, take a look at this photo.


４代目は背中に三日月のような模様がありました。
My fourth cat had a crecent-shpaed pattern on his back.



やんちゃで何にでも興味をもちました。
He is very tomboy and got interested in anything.



よく、鼻を咬まれたものです。
He often bit my nose.



でも、この後姿を見るとすぐに許してしまいました。
But, I always forgave him at once whenever I looked at his back.

５代目にゃんこ① my 5ｔｈ cat①

先日、知り合いからかわいいしおりをいただきました。
A person, whom I know, gave a very cute book mark to me.
犬を形どった、木でできたしおりです。
The bookmark is made of wood and the dog is shaped on it.
本当にありがとうございます。
I appreicate the person who gave me the bookmark.



ちなみにこの絵本は私のお気に入りの本の１冊です。
By the way, this picture book is one of my favorite books.

今日は私の５代目にゃんこちゃんをご紹介。
I will talk abou my 5th cat today.

６代目猫君と一緒に何度か紹介していますが、覚えておられますでしょうか？
I talked about this cat with my 6th cat a few times. Do you remember that?

初めて５代目に会ったとき、病気で両目とも目やにで覆われ、ほとんど見えない状態でした。
When I saw the cat, she was sick. She almost could not see well b/c both of her eyes were covered with mucus.



目の手術をして、ようやく全ての目やにを取り除いて、まぶたを開けさせましたが、片目はほぼ失明でした。
She got an eye surgery. The eye mucus was removed and her eyelids were opened.
But, she only could see with one of her eyes.

それでも、５代目は失明を感じさせないほど、光を見ると追いかけたりととてもおてんばでした。
She followed the sunlight with one of her eyes as if she could see with both of her eyes.
She was so tomboyish.



名前を呼ぶと『ニャニャ！』(ニャーニャーではなく）と返事をして、時には人の言葉を話すような声の出し方もしました。
She replyed to me saying "meomeo"(not meow meow) as soon as I called her name.
She also tried to voice like human words sometimes.

約４年前に他界しましたが、今でも５代目の愛らしい声は忘れていません。
動画に撮影しておかなかったのが悔やまれます。
She passed away about 4 years ago but I never forget her lovely voice yet.
I am just regret that I did not record her on the moving image.

５代目にゃんこチャンについてはまた、お話しますね。
I wiil talk about the 5th cat again next time.



今日はこの辺で終わりにします。

お気に入りな物 a favorite thing

５代目猫ちゃんと６代目猫君のお気に入りな物。
My 5th and 6th cats had their faorite thing.

中にプラスチックボールが入ったサークルのおもちゃで遊ぶのが大好きでした。
They liked to play with a circle toy which had a plastic ball in it.


一匹が遊びだすと必ずもう一匹も一緒に遊びだし、おもちゃの取り合いをしました。
Once one cat started to play with it, so did another cat.
And they fought to play with it.


時には、鍋猫のようにおもちゃの中に納まったりと・・・
Somtimes, they stayed inside the toy like a cat pot...


猫達の遊んでいた姿がなつかしいな。
I miss my cats which were playing with the toy.
