今月は空と小梅の誕生月です。
Sora and Koume have their birthday this month.
今年で2歳になりました。病気になることもなく、元気に育ってくれ、嬉しい限りです＾＾
They became 2 years old. They do not get sick at all. I am so happy that they grow healthy.^^
お誕生日のお祝いに冬用の三角ベッドと使い捨てカイロケースを買いました。
I bought a triangle bed for winter and a case for disposable body warmer as their birthday gifts.
早速、ベッドをケージの中につけてみました。
I set up the bed as soon as I bought it.
その間、久しぶりに空と小梅を部屋で遊ばせました。
While I was setting it up, I let Sora and Koume play in my room.
そして、ベッドを設置後。
Then, after setting up the bed...
すぐには使ってはもらえないですね＾＾；
I am sure that they do not use it at once.
気長に待ちましょう～
I will wait when they use it someday.

アイスの棒 the ice bar [鳥 birds]
メイちゃんを飼ってから、空と小梅ちゃんとあまり遊べない日々が続いていました。
I do not have lots of time to play with Sora and Koume since I have had my new kitten, May.
ある日、空ちゃんが止まり木をしきりにかじっていました。
One day, I noticed that Sora was frequently gnawing the parch.
その日のうちにあっという間に止まり木が細くなっていたので、これはいけない！
ストレスが溜まっているから何とかしなければ！！
On the same day, the parch was thinner at once. I was really surprized at this.
My birds must be stressed out so much. I have to do something for them.
いつもはアイスの棒を1～2本、遊ばせるのに与えるのですが、ことのときばかりはたくさん与え、一緒に遊びました！
I usually give one or two ice bars to let my birds play but I gave lots of ice bars and played with them a lot.
棒を一生懸命かじる小梅君。
Koume is absorbed in biting the bar.
棒を取り合う空ちゃんと小梅君。
Sora and Koume are biting the bar each other.
たくさん遊んで、満足したようです＾＾

生息地が暖かいところらしいのですが、さすがにこの暑さではバテるのではと心配しましたが、
毎日元気です。

Hello. Long time no see. We are Sora and Koume.
ご主人様が最近、子猫を飼い始め、俺達、忘れられているようだ。
Our owner started to have a kitten recently. She tends to forget us.
俺達、巣箱を取り除かれ、めちゃ、むかついたけど、相変わらず、仲良いぜ～
She took our bird house from us which make us mad. But, we still have a good relationship.
発情のほうは止まったようだぜ～
We stopped being in heat finally.
毎日、三毛猫のメイを見せられて、環境が変わったせいなのかな？
We wonder if we see the tortoiseshell cat, May everyday. It might change our environment to stop being in heat.
とにかく、俺たちは元気だ。 皆、忘れないでくれ～
Anyway, we are fine. Do not forget us!!

空と小梅を巣引きさせ2週間がたちましたが、卵を産む気配はありません。
It has been passed 2 weeks since I set up the cage for mating them.
However, there is no sign for them to lay eggs at all.
2羽ともオスのようですね。
It seems that both Sora and Koume might be male.
発情も止まらず、途方にくれています。
I am at a loss b/c they do not stop being in heat.
空の発情はこんな感じ。

メスのインコを飼おうとも思ったのですが、お店の人によるとボタン/コザクラインコは性別判断が難しいのでどれがメスか分からないとのことで、新たなインコを飼うのも難しく...
I was thinking to buy a female budgie but it is difficult to distinguish between male and female in case of the Lilian's and peach-faced love bird. So, I can not have another budgie....
卵を産まないのなら、2羽の発情を止めるためにも個別にゲージへ入れたほうが良いのでしょうか？
I wonder if they should be separated in order to stop the heat b/c they do not lay eggs anyway?
小さな頃から同じケージで一緒に育ったし、卵は産まなくても巣箱は気に入っているようだし、個別にゲージにいれるのも可哀想かな？
They grew up together in the same cage. They like the bird box even if they do not lay eggs.
They might miss each other if they are separted each cage.

The second day after setting up the bird-house.
前日の夜はまだ、箱には入りませんでいたが、朝見ると2羽とも巣箱に入っていました。
They did not get in the house at the night of the previous day. But, they could get in it in the next morning.
空が小梅にエサを運んでいます。
Sora is feeding Koume.
この日は一日中、巣箱の中に入ったり出たりを繰り返していました。
いくぶん発情もおさまったように見えたのですが、3日目からはまた発情がひどくなりました。
They continued to get in and get out all day.
It seems that they were slow to be in heat on that day.
However, on the third day, they started to be in heat again.
空も小梅も両方ともオスなのかな？
卵を産む様子もいまのところなさそうです。
I wonder if both Sora and Koume are male?
It seems that they are not going to lay eggs either.
こういう場合、発情を止めるにはどうしたら良いのでしょう？

気に入った大きな鳥かごがなかったので、とりあえず、巣箱のみ購入。
I could not find a nice big bird cage for them. Anyway, I bought only a bird-house for them.
早速、設置しました。
Immediately, I set up the bird-house in thier cage.

新しく購入したインコのおやつ、『あわ・こめスティック』を与えてみました。
I gave the millet & rice blended stick, which I bought a new treat for Sora and Koume.

食いしんぼうの空は、いつも最初に新しいおやつを食べ始めます。
Sora, which really likes to eat, is the first one which always eats new treat.
そして、それを見た小梅も安心して食べ始めます。
And, Koume, which saw that, is relieved and started to eat.
気に入ったようですね＾＾
It seems that they like it.

I will introduce Sora and Koume, their favorite chumble treat.
一番好きなのはこちら。『かじりま専科』のフルーツ＆カキの殻をブレンドしたムキエン麦ステッィク。
The most favorite one is the hulled oat wheat stick mixed with oyster shell and fruits.
与えると２～3日で食べてしまうこともあります。
They can eat it all only for a few days once I fed them.
次は同じく『かじりま専科』シリーズのムキひまわりスティック。
こちらは、最近、与え始めました。 こちらも、お好きなようです。
Next, this is also one from "Kajirimasenka" series. It's a sunflower seed stick.
I started to give it to them recently. It seems that they like it too.
そして、今日、初めて購入したのがこちら。
あわこめステッィクです。
And, I just bought it for the first time.
